But now we’re back in the normal swing of things and are so excited to show you these incredible projects we’ve been working on! We seriously have the best, most creative clients ever! With that said, we’ll be updating our portfolio (which is much needed) over the next week and sharing some of our newest design projects here on the blog.

It’s been a little extra crazy for me because of my sister’s GORGEOUS wedding last week…goodness, I can’t believe it’s already been a week. Her wedding was just so incredibly beautiful that it’s just hard not to share a tidbit from that fun day. A huge shout out to Charlene from Sweetchic Events who planned my sister’s entire 9+ months of planning and did a smashing job on day of coordination. She was definitely fierce that day. And of course, this wedding would not have been truly amazing without our super talented florist friend, Grace from Vale of Enna. Grace also did our wedding flower designs 5 years ago and that’s ALL I remember about our wedding…just how gorgeous the flowers were. I don’t even remember my husband’s face lol! That’s the same reaction I had when I saw my sister’s gorgeous floral creations! Such an awesome team! Also wanted to share with you a few paper goodies and logos I created for cake, menus, programs, favor mugs. Is it really over?

My sister was ridiculously stunning!! I felt star struck when she was all dressed up head to toe!

1. INSTALL THE PLUGIN:  Go to your WordPress Dashboard > Plugins > Add New and search for “nrelate Related Content”. Install and activate the plugin, then click on “Settings”.

2. UPDATE SETTINGS:  Under “Main Settings” in the “General” tab, choose your preferred thumbnail size, add a default images (for posts that don’t have any images), and edit any other settings you’d like! On that same page, scroll down to “Layout Settings” and check the “Main Page” box in addition to the “Single Posts” box (This will ensure that the plugin appears on your main blog page as well as single posts). Next, under the “Thumbnails Gallery” tab, choose the style that you’d like to appear on your blog, then save.

3. WAIT FOR SITE INDEX:  The next step is simply to wait for the nrelate plugin to index all of your past content. Depending on the amount of content on your site, this can take a few minutes or a few hours. Once it’s finished indexing, the related posts will simply start appearing at the bottom of each post!

Lindsay and I are excited to launch another great blog design today! Amanda, our very sweet client wanted to update her personal blog to give a more serene yet professional look to it. We incorporated subtle light green water color wash and kept the font choices very clean and simple. We think this design matches perfectly with her “simple shui” concept!

1. INSTALL THE PLUGIN:  Go to your WordPress Dashboard > Plugins > Add New and search for “Add to Any” and choose the Share Buttons by Lockerz option. Install and activate the plugin.

2. CHOOSE/UPLOAD IMAGE:  My favorite part about this plugin is that it allows you to add any image you want instead of being trapped with a generic share icon. Below are a few “share it” images that we created for you to use on your site if you’d like! Just copy the URL of the one that you’d like to use. If you want to use your own image, you’ll need to upload it to your site (Dashboard > Media > Add New) and copy the URL of the image.

3. EDIT THE SETTINGS:  Next go to Dashboard > Settings > AddToAny. Under “Button” choose the “Image URL” option and insert the link to your image from step 2. Under “Placement” choose where you’d like the share buttons to be displayed on your blog. Here’s a peek at our settings for an example…

Now just save your changes and you’re all set! If you’d like to do further customization, here’s a link to the Lockerz Share customization page. You would add these code snippets into the “Additional Options” box on the settings page. Let me know if you have any questions! Enjoy!!

I have a question to ask all of you. When you are working, designing, blogging, crafting, etc…how often do you have music on in the background? And how important is it for you to play music while working? For me, I MUST have my itunes or pandora on non-stop while working. I feel like music really helps my creative design process and keeps me upbeat. Like my daily coffee, I simply cannot function without my playlist.
